Jocelyn Whitehead was born and raised in Detroit and educated in the Detroit Public School System, where she discovered at a young age her gift of writing under the stern but loving instruction of her grade school English teacher. Her love of writing continued throughout her life manifesting into the releasing of her book. Her gift of writing was often sought after by friends and family and utilized throughout her career in Corporate settings. She has also written and co-written short plays performed in a church setting. Jocelyn is a proud mother and grandmother, an author, photographer, speaker, teacher, chaplain and Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with a passion for God's Word and people. She has served on several Mission trips both home and abroad. Jocelyn has a bachelor’s degree in Leadership & Ministry from Grace Christian University, where she graduated with high honors. She was honored by the Delta Epsilon Chi Association for Biblical Higher Education for Intellectual Achievement, Christian Character, and Leadership Ability. She loves the outdoors, sports and to laugh.
